The Challenge

During the construction of EVORING, Shuanghuan’s Hungarian subsidiary, three major challenges were encountered from a digital perspective:

1. Language

With both Chinese expatriates and local Hungarian employees working together, daily communication requires both Chinese and English. Therefore, the system must also support bilingual functionality.

2. Local Tax Compliance

The subsidiary faced local tax compliance issues. On one hand, the system must integrate EU tax rules; on the other, local tax experts are needed to provide guidance on compliance matters.

3. GDPR

Entering the European market requires strict adherence to GDPR in terms of data collection, usage, storage, and transfer. This includes ensuring the rights of data subjects (such as the right to be informed, to access, and to delete data) and embedding privacy-by-design principles into systems. Non-compliance can result in fines of up to 4% of global annual revenue and may harm brand reputation and business expansion.
